My father, Tom Foster, started The Foster Agency back in 1969 with a simple mission: to provide honest, reliable insurance solutions to the people of Central Maine. Since then, our agency has grown to become a trusted name in the community. Something I’ve been proud to be a part of since joining him in 2002.
As a second-generation insurance agent, I’m committed to carrying on the values my father built this agency on: trust, integrity, and personalized service. I work with individuals, families, farmers, and business owners to find coverage that truly fits their needs.

Our Team
Born and raised in Bar Harbor, Maine, Betty Boghosian grew up with the ocean as her constant companion. After over 26 years of dedicated service in the insurance industry, she has been an integral part of the Foster Agency team, specializing in property & casualty, as well as life and health insurance. Betty is fully licensed in both P&C and life & health insurance, bringing a wealth of expertise to her clients.
Outside of her professional life, Betty is a passionate fiber artist. She works with wool from various breeds of animals, enjoying the processes of spinning, weaving, and other fiber arts. These creative pursuits are a way for her to connect with her roots and the natural world she grew up in.
Now living in Southern California, Betty enjoys the beauty of the Pacific Ocean, and she works remotely, staying connected with her team and clients from the other side of the country.
